Alumni - Charles Hosea
Immigrating to America as a young boy whose parents sought out greater opportunity for their family, Charles Hosea recognized his parents’ vision, and the extreme importance of holding tight to a strong vision. Although he didn’t speak English, Charles had an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for the opportunities available to him in the United States, and a desire to give back.
Upon his arrival in America, he helped out with his father’s landscaping business. During this time, Charles learned the ins and outs of business and consulted with his father’s established clients, who taught him about real estate as a route to wealth creation.
Now, the proud father of seven children and two grandchildren, Charles owns a Social Service agency, which he established in 1994, that serves under-privileged children and families, youth-at-risk and disabled adults. In August of 2003, he discovered Nouveau Riche—an opportunity to transform his life and a new way to pay forward his blessings to countless others, including the islanders of Hawaii.
He says, “One of my favorite quotes is ‘When there is no vision, the people perish.’” Charles thanks Nouveau Riche Co-founders Jim and Mary Piccolo and Bob Snyder for their strong vision and the opportunity to help others. He describes Nouveau Riche’s leaders as “people with enough passion to light the rest of us on fire.”
Possessing a true gift for establishing and conquering goals, and helping others to achieve greatness, Charles infuses others with his giving nature and wisdom. His desire is to enrich as many lives as possible with Nouveau Riche. He says, “Something becomes of great value only when it is shared….Others get to feel and enjoy what it is that you’ve come to enjoy. I am grateful for my family, and the association with Nouveau Riche and its leaders.” Charles offers these words of reflection: “Think again about your person and why you’re here. Think again about other people’s lives and the opportunity [of Nouveau Riche that] you can use to bless other people’s lives…”
Since joining Nouveau Riche, Charles has taken his dreams to a whole new level, achieving success both personally and professionally, and teaching others his winning combination of heart and knowledge.
